A while ago I was asked by Author Chrsitain Campos to have my art included in his book Heavy Metal and Hardcore Graphics. I gladly agreed. The book is finally out and it’s pretty amazing. So much great work by so many important artists and designers. I am humbled to be included among them. It’s well worth picking up.

Pretty much totally stoked that I got a design approved for Suicide Silence. I have been on a quest to design something for them for well over 5 years. Total satisfaction. Good way to end 2011 and start 2012
Malt Soda asked me to come up with a new design for a street deck for legendary punk band Fang. Fits the band and Malt Sodas aesthetic nicely.
The Power Thrash band Lightning Lord got in touch with me recently to do a “catch all” illustration for them. After a little back and forth about the colors we settled on this version. It’s a little different than what I normally do so it was fun to stretch out a little. Comic book fans will recognize the traditional Thor pose in this one.
I was asked to participate in the year end show at Hyaena Gallery in Burbank. The theme was Kill Your Idols. So, I decided to do a take on my all time favorite Illustration from my all time favorite Illustrator Pushead. I replaced the content of the original with little bits of things that have been inspiring or instrumental in my development as an artist over the course of my life. The thing reads kind of like an “Eye Spy” game. How many things can YOU find in there? I think that’s part of the fun of the piece.
The ink drawing will be available for sale at the show and from the Hyaena website. I also had a small run of 10 11x 17 screen printed signed and numbered posters made as well. Only 10 will ever be made in this colorway. Those will also be available at the show.
Not sure exactly what will become of this but, it’s pretty good, it’s been paid for and I am pretty sure it’s going to turn into something very cool in the near future.
I spent some time and created some smaller affordable acrylic pieces for the Holiday gift buying season. Here are the first 6. I will be adding another 3 this week. As these sell out I will likely be adding more up till the second week of December. So, go get em’ while you can. There has been a lot of interest in these things so far. If you have a bit more to spend there are some larger format paintings, skate decks, Illustrations and more available as well.
